Number 5 Elementary School Reviews

This is a excellent school. I have attended it since Pre-K and this year of 2010 I'm going to graduate this school. The teachers are GREAT and the education is excellent. I'm friends with everyone so I would say the students are friendly as well. I love Dr. Micheal Conti *we believe we can achive*

The teachers are excellent .This school not only gives importance for academics but also decipline which is first step to success.

The teachers are great, the building is squeaky clean, and the principal really cares. The only thing the school is missing is serious parent involvement.

My daughter has gone to the pre-k here for 2 years. The teachers are great, go the extra mile. My daughter loves going to school. The teacher try hard to encourage family involvement. I think she has learned alot from these 2 classes. She is ready to read and loves to write. Although there are a few problems here and there, the class environment is exceptional. The teachers really care about the children. The safety of the school thus far is also great. I can only hope the upper classes will be the same experience.

My children have been attending #5 school since pre-k they are now 8th and 6th graders. This school has the best teachers who are truly concerned about the education of my children. I have nothing but good things to say to anyone that asks me. It is a safe clean enviornment for my kids. They are very happy there and have become well rounded kids with the help of this schools wonderful staff and thier dedication in teaching our kids

This school by far has been one of the bests that my child has attended. Many reviews atate the opposite, but I completely disagree. Apart from the exellent grade average that this school holds, it offers a SAFE, nurturing environment for the kids. The teachers work hard with the childrens to help them mantain not only a passing grade, but above. This exellent school offers discipline for all. I am very happy with this school because it has shown improvement on my child whether be on leadership skills and academic skills. Number 5 Elementery School prepares your child for the future! That is why I am beyond satisfied with this school.

It is average school. Discipline is not so great.

The ideal public school has yet to exist. My children have attended #5 for the last six years during which I witnessed many positive changes. While I share the concerns of safety, teacher training and discipline along with other 'dissatisfied' parents, I urge those of you (parents) to join with our school administrators in helping to find solutions. The quality of academic achievement and extracurricular activities are not just planned by the administrators, they need to be supported by parental involvement, of which I have seen very little. It is not until one's child has a specific problem that I see new parent faces on the premises. Join the School Leadership Council or come the Parent Council meetings. If one has concerns there are plenty of opportunities to do something about it. Overall, I am very satisfied and happy with the way the school is run. We need a new building!

I feel like this school has more interest in what your child is wearing than educating them! My child has been going to this school for the last three years and is still having the same problems with math and the only thing her teacher can say is that she needs help. If this problem has been happening for so long you think the school or teachers would notice and try to help her but they haven't. I have been trying to get help for the first and second grade children but they prefer to leave the children back then to get the children the help they need! Teachers need to get training on how to spot children that need help and those who don't you can not always teach the whole class the same, some kids need more help then others. I am not satisfied with school at all!

My daughter has been in this school for only a year. She really enjoys the school environment. She would come home excited about her day and wanted to share all that she had learned that day. The school holds a strong learning community. The Principal's leadership is very present at the school and this is important. I could only see better and bigger things coming for the students of this school.

My children have attended this school for 4 years. As a parent I am completely unsatisfied with how the staff at this school cares for the well being of their students. While the school tests high on its curriculum, its students safety is to be questioned. I've hoped that it would have changed but it seems to have worsen. The teacher to student quota is actually about 25 students to a classroom not 12.8 as stated on the chart. Who are they trying to kid! Enroll at your own risk!
